Welcome to the online home of
the Great Lakes Friesian Horse Association!
The Great Lakes Friesian Horse
Association members all share a common interest and love of the Friesian
horse. Our members are mainly from Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan,
Iowa, Indiana and Minnesota. However, our members reach as far away
as California, Texas to the east coast, and we welcome everyone to our
club. The Great Lakes Friesian Horse Club (GLFHA) is recognized as a
Chapter affiliated with the Friesian Horse Association of North America (FHANA),
which is the official North American representative of the purebred Dutch
Friesian Registry, the Friesch Paarden-Stamboek (FPS).
Our mission
is, to promote the purebred Dutch Friesian breed. As members
of the Great Lakes Friesian Horse Association, we advocate sharing
knowledge, offering educational clinics, breeding, showing, and enjoying
the breed. Our Chapter offers two types of membership, Full Member regular
voting and Associate member non-voting. Please see the Membership page for
more details.
