GLFHA represents members primarily from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Many other states are also represented as full member or associate members. Members are welcome from all over North America.

A Full Member is a member with Friesian horses, who is in good standing with the FHANA and adheres to our pure breeding guidelines in accordance with the FPS / FHANA. Only Full Members in good standing are allowed to vote and use our name and logo.

An Associate Member is someone who does not own a Friesian, is already a Full member of another chapter, is not a FHANA member or is a member of another Friesian registry and/or crossbreeds without having a separate Full FHANA membership.

GLFHA Membership Dues (January 01 to December 31 – yearly)

Associate Member: Any person who does not own a registered Friesian horse but loves the breed and wants to be involved in club activities. An associate member is not entitled to vote in club proceedings nor is he/she eligible for election as an officer/board member.

Dues cost $20.00 per year

Individual: Any owner of at least one registered Friesian horse and a member in good standing with FHANA. An individual member is entitled to one vote in the club’s proceedings and is eligible for election as an officers and/or board member.

Dues cost $25.00 per year

Family or Business: Two or more members of a family or a legally recognized business entity which have at least one registered Friesian horse, and are members in good-standing with FHANA. A family is defined as a husband and/or a wife and all children under the age of 18. A family or business member is entitled to one vote in the club’s proceedings and one member of the group who is at least 18 years of age is eligible for election as an officer and/or board member.

Dues cost $35.00 per year
